Visitors to The GPT Group's Charlestown Square this Christmas shopping season have already started discovering a new service. To help shoppers make the most of their visit, roaming customer service staff will be armed with an iPad app developed by Enigma Digital.

Hunter Development Corporation were seeking a means of enabling visitors to the Honeysuckle Precinct to easily browse the great range of dining options while on the go.

The Honeysuckle dining smartphone friendly website has been designed for viewing on mobile phones and functions similarly to a native app. It is available for free on all mobile phones with web browsers – not just iPhones.

The smartphone-friendly website sorts the eateries by cuisine type – modern Australian, Asian, pub-style food, Italian, seafood, cafe/takeaway and family steakhouse. It also offers a price guide for entrees, mains and desserts and includes each venue’s opening hours, whether there is a kids’ menu, and if there are vegetarian and gluten-free options. Users can also find out whether the restaurant is licensed or BYO.

You can simply open up the web browser on your smartphone and type in ‘dine.honeysuckle.net’ as the URL. From there it will give you the instructions to put it on the home screen on your phone, which you can access via an icon just like any other app.

Enigma Digital was contracted to build a companion iPhone app to the new Legendary Pacific Coast website. The iPhone app allows the user to find accomodation and activity operators in their local vicinity, in addition to Visitor Information Centres. They can take their online itinerary with them using the My Adventure feature.
