Spicing up your Facebook Profile

We've recently been in discussions with many clients who wish to create more lively Facebook pages e.g. Rather than the default landing page showing recent wall posts for example, showing a customised and more interactive area. One high profile example of this is the Coca Cola Facebook page though there are certainly thousands of others.

As of March this year, Facebook made some changes which enable iFrames to be added to a Facebook profile. Essentially this gives the flexibility to load in a specially-created external website, with all the bells and whistles you might wish to contain e.g. links to other pages or your own website, embedded video, etc. If it can be built on a website, it can become part of your Facebook landing page.

Better still, the landing page can be used to encourage visitors to Like your page, increasing the number of engaged fans you have. Importantly, once a visitor has become a fan of your Facebook page you can present them an alternative landing page for each subsequent visit.

If your business is using Facebook and would like to know more about how you can spice up your profile, we're happy to help.
