David Calculli Speaks at the Australian Open Source Developers Conference

This past November, team member David Calculli spoke at the Australian Open Source Developers Conference. This conference is an annual event that brings together open source developers, business owners, industry leaders and companies to promote the use of open source tools in Australia.
David spoke on two issues that we at Enigma find close to our heart: developing in Drupal for small to medium business clients and making great mobile applications.
We believe Drupal is a very powerful system that can be used in many ways, focused by our client's needs. David presented some ideas on what we think about the Drupal web ecosystem and how it applies to non-IT people.
Drupal can be used as a full content management system, allowing less-web savvy people to easily manage the content of their website. Drupal can also be used as a framework, which means Enigma Digital can make web applications and other complex systems based on the needs of our clients - without sacrificing efficiency, return on investment, or security.
We ardently believe that our clients are talented people who run challenging businesses, so we do our utmost to build web solutions that help them do their business. Drupal helps us to provide comprehensive solutions that are easy to use and do not require a lot of time to learn and operate, as we realise our clients are busy people.
Open source software is a great way to share information between developers and Enigma Digital is an active contributor to the Drupal community. We provide feedback and patches to modules that we use, encouraging other developers to do the same, which in turn help us deliver stunning solutions for our clients.
One of our star achievements in mobile development is the Legendary Pacific Coast mobile application and David shared some of our experiences at the 2010 Australian Open Source Developers conference. We are excited about the opportunities that abound within the mobile social sphere.
Mobile development is a very exciting area and we are leading the way in Newcastle mobile development by offering innovative solutions to all businesses, big and small.
